Tom.....try looking for info on how to recolor Nylites.....or bring them back.....or check with Sam Bennett's posts ?

The old memory is not retaining all the how to's much anymore Sad

I'm getting more era correct everyday...."Vintage"......Big Grin

As for help.....seems like the fuel just does plastic tanks in......they get so brittle they're useless after awhile Sad .

Or could be the ultraviolet light.....???

Think it may have been on old forum that crashed......this was part of it.

"the tanks are made of a certain kind of mixed polyethylene composite and are a very porous material which is intended to let the tanks expand or contract with pressure or environment.  Also helps the tank breathe and was intended to do so, but in the design the tank material tends to absorb all fuel additives or chemicals used in the fuel so the tank will absorb the colours and "yellow" in years time or earlier depending on vehicles use or maintenance or storage.  Internally - there is no real solvent that can be used to clean the inside of the tank.
Externally: we recommend "soft scrub with bleach" and water.  Weird but it works, external yellowing is from spillages from filling or other."
