Hi All,
We are getting ready for what we think will be the greatest Avon Vintage event ever!!
We may be expecting a larger than average group this year so we are trying to make arrangements early so things will go smoothly.

First off is parking and pit areas….
We would like to know who is planning on bringing motorhomes and or trailers larger than 16Ft. This is critical as to the planning of pit space and Parking as it is limited inside the Avon facility. There is plenty of open grassed space just west of the fenced area that we can expand into if necessary.
We would greatly appreciate if you would please let us know what vehicles you are bringing  and their approximate length, this will help greatly in the planning of the parking.

We are not reserving spaces so it will be first come first served so please do not request a special space as we cannot promise it this year.

Please respond with the following if you plan on attending:

Name:
Motor Home:  Yes/No   Length:
Trailer length:
Friday Picnic dinner Number:

Thanks in advance, our success depends on you!!
Scott, Sam and the GVKC team
Scott,
please post a few places to stay local i've lost the list i used to have for Avon.

Avon is a great track i've been to every vintage kart event in july since the start.
a couple of times i only could visit briefly.
The vibe is casual with lots of track time and some flagged scored grids.
the other grids are green flag drop - checkered flag stop - no points.
it makes for a relaxing weekend of Vintage Karting Fun.

There's an awesome kart Show and judging every year.
Avon is one of the best places to see historic Karts in the whole Country.
I may be wrong but i think the yamaha's (flagged and scored) will be out in force.
Typically this is also a good track to bring straight axle sidewinders with hard tires.

There's also plenty of spare parts up for sale/swap so bring a table or a pocketful of money.
Typically i don't sell at events as i'm too busy but i've made some great finds for myself.

What i'll be bringing
At least two drivers.
Will attend picnic.
small trailer we'll detach from truck.
Cool
HI SCOTT

As in previous years, a bunch of us are staying at the Super-8 at 1000 Lehigh Station Rd, Henrietta, NY, 14467. Ph. 585-359-1630.

If I had a trailer I would brag about it in this section of the post. Smile

Scott and I will not be on the track this event and spending all of our time making sure the event runs smooth and that everyone has a GREAT & SAFE time. Now Thursday we will be on the track as usual and encourage everyone who can arrive on Thursday to do so and have some early test n tune time.
This year due to the anticipated attendance, parking in the asphalted pit area will be limited to cars & trucks that have their karts in them. Small trailers such as 10' to 14' will have to be dropped and positioned and your tow vehicle will be parked in a large grass area just outside the pit entrance gate. As usual larger trailers 16' to 24' & motor homes will be in the back pit area.
I can almost guarantee there will be filming on Friday $ Saturday but Thursday is subjective due to the participants on the track at that time LOL?
Pray for nice weather as Scott and I will take care of the rest.

Sam
