All,

The Brodhead VKA event is coming up on July 6,7,8. Great event! Lots of shade, Many Special awards, Free Beer, Wine and cheese tasting, 50-50 raffle a fully restored McCulloch engine will be given away along with many other prizes and trophies. This year there is another Champagne celebration class (Dual rear B open and C open). This is a historic track where the Blackhawk karts were built. Always a fantastic kart show. Please see additional details on the VKA events site. Hope to see another record breaking crowd again this year. Big Grin
Sorry I can't make it, Vern. Family in town retracts me from being able to come. Too close the the fourth. ☹️
Vico,

You will be missed. We were looking forward to meeting you. If things change you know we are here to assist you at this event and any others we are able to attend.
Thanks, Vern. I was just as disappointed to hear I couldn't go. Let me know what other events you'll be attending. I'd love to be able to meet you in person.

I should be at Quincy, so that would be my best bet.
I have confirmed that there will be 2 separate Champagne celebration classes. B open rear and C open rear. There will be 3 trophies awarded in each of these classes. Just like formula 1. Bring on the dual rears.
Looking forward to running at sugar river raceway. It is always one of my favorite events of the year. If you are not there, you will be missing out.
If there is anyone on the fence because they have not previously attended a VKA event. Please be assured that you will be assisted with information and what ever we can provide. If you have questions or need something see the 58 kart pit. I came back to karts after being away for 19 years and even though I had previously raced for many years, I was pretty much lost. So there are no dumb questions. We will do our best to help. Also worth noting is the fact that they have a very good kart shop and running water facilities on the site.
Gearing is a good question: I have had great success running 9-68 in the mcCulloch class at Brodhead.
