part 5 This Video covers fitting everything together for  a west bend/chryseler/U.s. Motors 820 and the earlier 610. Checking piston inner clearance , installation instructions for thrust washers, spacer and wrist pin with proper clearances .

part 4 This video below explains how to fit piston spacers to a west bend piston. it includes how to make a spacer modification jig and final sizing.

part 1 This video below explains the differences between the various connecting rods west bend,Chryseler and U.S. motor power offered over the years. The newest connecting rod is considered the only con rod acceptable for use in high rev racing conditions. Using the older rods or stock factory bolts in high rev engines will result in total destruction of the motor

part 2

part 3 this video explains the basics for removing the outer cap edges of west bend rod bearings. a thrust washer must be fitted in it's place as explained in previous videa.removing the cap edges reduces friction ,allows better lubrication of bearing and allows higher revs. it also removes a potentially fatal flaw in the engines design.

The 4 part video is now all on our facebook page Welte Racing and on youtube. I hope it helps you understand the process.
You are rebuilding a wrist pin?
Well not exactly Terry. West Bends aren't an easy engine to get ready for racing. You will have to check it out. Your kind of project with your shop.
Sorry couldnt resist. Will definitely look it up.
C'mon, Steve, where's the link? I don't do facebook, and haven't a clue as to how to find the vids on Youtube. Thanks. Ted

Great videos, Steve!
This is a very informative vid series. Thank you very much, Steve, and thanks to Vince for the links. These mods will save many an 820 and 610 Bender engine. Ted
I wish there was a way to download the entire file of info and put it on one of those computer storage things so I could have it at my fingertips for future use.
yes it would be nice if I had provided it all. I'm not a computer geru so that is why some things aren't done. Best I can do.
