after 5 pm for a short while.
Sunday access starts at 10 a.m. and we'll be doing test and tune till 5 p.m.

Free admission for vintage karting guys.
tell them Vintage Kart America Or VKA at the gate and explain you're headed to the skid pad area for the kart show and demo runs.

So the festivities will be starting at noon ending around five.
We are planning to have burgers after so people won't have to find food before going home.

ok with days to go before this mini event i'm trying to get truck running again.
already missed sandy hook because of truck issues. the plug wire misfire is fixed then i heard exhaust noise found cracked manifold pass side.
went to replace last night and second to last bolt made big squeek noise and snapped off. happened that fast.
so now i'm stuck with stainless thread in and aluminum head. tried finding a mdm that's mobile but so far no luck.
lots of them in cali but can't find a guy in ct. my machinist buddy said maybe he can come by tomorrow and extract with his good drill bits.fingers crossed as i'm not sure how to get trailer to event without my truck. may rent a uhaul for the day or something.
Cool
MDM???   Getting sound like Steve M.!!!!!!    Get a Uhaul or rent a truck
check with home depot. you might get a better deal
Get a nut couple sizes bigger than the bolt. hold it tight against head over broken bolt. put your wire welder on broil and weld onto end of broken bolt, backing puddle out to fill up nut. Resist the urge to touch that glowing red nut. Once it cools you should be able to gently work it back n forth gaining more each time. Lube helps. Have had this work on stuff broken off deep in the hole. Sometimes takes a few tries but I've had good luck with it. Hope this helps.
can't really weld the bolt end. it's f'ing stainless and flush but it's in aluminum. likely to melt aluminum while welding.
i'll check home depot for truck but uhaul seems best deal so far. about 165.00 which is doable as i don't have to pay admission as event is free.
the mdm machine does exist as a portable but nobody i've asked knows of anyone in ct.
may be time to get back to building so i can buy a new truck.
aiiieeeeee
HATE THAT IDEA
Cool
on the happy side my electrician FINALLY installed service in garage so i'll be able to  move forward with project sell of texas pile!!!
I've had pretty good luck with it, several times. Weld wire didn't seem to care the stud was stainless, stuck to it anyway. I think the last one we only used 1 size larger nut that minimized the aluminum exposure to the heat. Chased the hole with a tap, and back in business. Anyway, just a thought.

getting welder to truck gonna be a huge chore as it's old and Really heavy holbart betamig 200 unit.
heres a pix of one i swiped off the nety so you can see how big and heavy. that big hoist point in the middle next to the corner magnet in pix ain't fooling they weigh alot!!
