i just read rick gilmores post on facebook about his crash. he says no broken bones but he's seriously hurt. please take the time to say a prayer for Rick.

I did not see the accident. The second hand report that I received was that the race leader spun out and Rick ran over his tire and went flying. The track announcer said some of the reports from the emergency room were "positive". The report of no broken bones is encouraging.
That sucks!

Accidents happen.....wish Rick a speedy recovery .....vintage karting is just as dangerous as other forms of motorsports
even if we don't race but exhibit at speed.......wear the best safety gear .....it's less expensive then medical care when you take a tumble and don't have the best protection.....plus most of us don't heal up as well or as fast as when we were younger and fearless !
No need to ask how I discovered this......but it was the hard way.....not "as" fearless now.....
